Lithuanian Construction Association (LCA) is the largest organization uniting companies engaged in construction, design, production of building materials and structures, technical supervision, as well as training institutions and sectoral associations.
The Lithuanian Construction Association was established in 1993 by twenty-four of the country’s largest construction companies at that time, with the approval of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
From its establishment until 2013, the Association was led by Adakras Vincentas Šeštakauskas. Since 2013, the President of the Association has been Dalius Gedvilas.
For more than 30 years, LBA has professionally represented the interests of construction sector participants, fostered partnerships, sought to improve the business environment and increase company competitiveness, mobilized efforts to identify business development opportunities, strengthened the construction business community, expanded cooperation between companies, organizations, and public authorities, promoted technological progress and sustainability in the construction sector, encouraged corporate social responsibility, and enhanced the prestige of the construction profession.
LITHUANIAN CONSTRUCTION ASSOCIATION:
◾ An independent and non-political organization professionally representing the interests of construction sector participants;
◾ Unites more than 150 companies, training institutions, and 5 sectoral associations.
LBA member companies carry out approximately 70% of the country’s total construction volume and generate around 8% of the national GDP;
◾ A social partner of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius Tech), Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), colleges, vocational training institutions, and other educational organizations;
◾ A partner of various national business confederations and sectoral associations;
◾ Cooperates with the State Labour Inspectorate (VDI) and sectoral trade unions;
◾ A member of the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) and a partner of foreign construction sector associations;
◾ A shareholder of the public institution “Digital Construction”;
◾ Administers the construction regulations and information dissemination platform STATAI (statai.lt) and the construction sector employee competence database STATREG (statreg.lt).
